Golden Bear Cottages, the AAA approved Diamond rated 4 season resort established in 1927, is nestled among historic pines on six scenic acres in Big Bear Lake, California in the San Bernardino National Forest at 7000'. Our family vacation cabin rentals have outdoor recreational facilities for adults and children, including a beautiful heated pool and spa, sand lot volleyball, ping pong, horseshoes, basketball, shuffleboard, and a large cedar play set for small children.

Golden Bear Cottages vacation lodging experience also includes our ever popular Family Movie Night at the Pool. Enjoy our Big Screen TV with Surround Sound and our Poolside food delivery service.

We also feature a large outdoor group firepit with log seating as well as individual barbecues and picnic areas for each cottage. Family reunions and group retreats welcome.

Our service is friendly and your pets are always welcome; with a fenced yard for each of our separately designated Pet Friendly cabins.

All 28 family vacation rentals are located on Golden Bear Cottages resort property which is located on Big Bear Blvd, between Boulder Bay and Metcalf Bay. We are just minutes away from Big Bear's ski resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. We are also Big Bear's closest family vacation rental property to Snow Valley ski resort. Vacation cottages are located within walking distance to Big Bear Lake and 1.2 miles from Big Bear's quaint village shops.
